Mix and Math

I started my teaching career as a founding teacher at a school designed specifically for innovative instruction, leadership development, and college preparation, and it's where I have continued to grow and learn as an educator! I currently work with teachers to help them teach at a high level while engaging students in meaningful math instruction! I love reading about math, working on math resources, and doing whatever I can to make math rigorous and relatable to life outside of the classroom!

Math makes me so excited! Everything about it... the patterns, the connections, the way it builds on what you already know. Everyone can learn and love math! If you were to come into my classroom, you would see students "experiencing" math rather than simply "learning" it. I love watching my students investigate, explore, and question. Growing confidence and a love of math (and learning in general) inside each and every student is my passion.
